A pastor’s aide ministry serves to financially, morally and spiritually assist the pastor in her ministry. Some of the ministry’s duties include praying for the pastor and his family, delivering sermons in his absence, raising funds for the church’s special outreach activities and church maintenance and assisting with the planning of church events. The aid ministry is important to the pastor because it’s their support that relieves his burdens when the job gets tough.
Pastor’s aides are sometimes called armor-bearers. This title denotes the type of service the aide performs. The aide cares for the busy pastor’s needs during her ministration even when she travels.
This position is a servant-type ministry given to the most trusted, mature Christians.
Special considerations given to her wardrobe, including, but not limited to clerical regalia. The Pastor’s Aide Ministry is responsible for taking care of the Pastor’s needs so that she may have uninterrupted time to spend doing the will of God. The primary goal is to ensure the well being of the Pastor and her family in and out of season.
